           Since 1920 The ACLU has been the most   
       consistent defender of the constitutional   
       protections we now enjoy. At times it's taken the   
       side of fundamentalist Christian churches, Oliver   
       North, and The NRA. Windy conservatives love to   
       scorn big government, yet it's The ACLU who   
       tirelessly stands between us and total government   
       control.
