That was Natalie Maines the lead singer. She said it in front of a foreign
audience, not in front of her "home state" fans. If she had said that here,
(and I do mean here, as in Houston) she would have been boo'd off the stage.
The real hypocracy was the liberal lefts reaction when an overwhelming
ground swell of anger caused thousands of radio listeners to call the local
radio stations, threatening to not listen again if they play their music.
(BTW contrary to liberal myth, there was not an organized campaign put out
by the RNC to get them off the air, it was the fans that rejected them, not
for their opinion, but for the manner in which they expressed it) The
liberals cried "foul", "censorship", "First Amendmant Rights"!!! Here's a
clue liberals just as Natalie has a constitutional right to speak her mind
so do we as country fans. We have overwhelmingly rejected the Dixie chicks
and it is no great loss they have abandoned the country scene. I like what
Toby Keith had to say about them "They are just singing poodles, they don't
   write their own music".

So long Dixie Chicks, the country music scene will survive just fine without
   you.

No it does not make us akin to a communist!! What part of our exercising
our First Amendmant Rights as well do you not get. Or, are you like Al
Franken, that amendmant only applies if you agree with the message.
   FASCIST!!!!!!!
