   We'll see.  I missed about an hour of the third show but I don't think   
   Lampher mentioned that she was a _real_ journalist and by implication too   
   good for this sort of thing even once, so that's an improvement. I thought   
   shows two and three were minor improvements over the intro. We'll see if   
   they are quick studies. They have the advantage of weak competition, to   
   put it mildly, in their niche (although the timing conflicts with   
   Democracy Now), so that works to their advantage.   
      
   I stand by my assertions that Franken has to put more energy into the show   
   and that Lampher can be annoying.  I can understand how lack of funds   
   could make a smooth start difficult.  Jesse Ventura had live audience   
   practice shows over several months for an MSNBC show that never aired.  I   
   really wonder how much studio practice Franken and Lampher had together.   
   I'm not feeling the click.  Some of Franken's most engaged patter has been   
   with his surprise buddy G. Gorden Liddy.  But is he going to be calling   
   every other day?
