The question is (or       should be) "Why are conservative Republicans suddenly hellbent on having       government decide what's best for everybody?" If Clinton or any other       Democrat ever proposes *anything* that puts individual decision making into       the hands of anybody in Washington, everybody from Bill O'Reilly to Ann       Coulter will be blowing up on every political talk show they can ooze onto.       We'll all have to listen to talking points about Individual Responsibility       and free choice and all those quaint conservative concepts like limited       government and rugged individualism that Republicans themselves don't really       believe in anymore. When it comes to abortion though it's almost fun to       listen to conservatives suddenly talking like a bunch of Ted Kennedy       wannabees.              One day they'll get their precious no-exceptions abortion ban and it will be       a full blown disaster, just like every other prohibition has been.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
