Being a solidly conservative/religious organization made up of people       who would have no problem shooting you if you looked at them wrong or       disagreed with them on some obscure point of dogma, they are firmly in the       Republican/conservative camp. They believe the universe, the earth and       everything on it was created by God because The Koran and the Old Testament       say so. They are not evolutionists, they prefer the complicated, inaccurate,       moon-based calender they've been using for who knows how long and they think       women should be barefoot, pregnant and in the kitchen cooking dinner. They       treat modern entertainment with deep distrust and more or less banned it all       in Afganistan. Rape is not a serious problem for them, unless the woman is       married to a man other than the rapist, in which case she becomes       "disgraced." Homosexuals can and will be killed. The unborn are sacred to       them though and they will not tolerate abortion under any circumstances.       However, once the baby is born, if it's a girl and you were hoping for a       boy, you could probably kill it with no serious consequences, regardless of       the mothers feelings. They love guns and regularly have "sinners" stoned to       death, beheaded, maimed or shot in public as a discouragement to others who       might be contemplating an evil act. Five or six times a day they drop       whatever they're doing and go to say their prayers.              Damn. Come to think of it, they've actually out-conservatived the       conservatives. Al Queda is a Republican wet dream. It's a backwards looking       political/social/religous movement based in superstition, fear, hatred and       ignorance. It's the living, breathing embodyment of everything John Ashcroft       and George W Bush stand for. I'm surprised they haven't been made honorary       members.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
