   I believe that last sentence was the point that the Daily Show was trying to   
   make, in its ironic way.   
      
   That being said, some orthodox Jews do have very strict customs about dress,   
   including an in-law of mine who, like many deeply devout Jews, emigrated   
   there.  The women wear long sleeves and long skirts and keep their hair   
   covered, and do not touch adult males other than their spouses.
