   LINDA RONSTADT SELF DESTRUCTS.

What is it with Hollyweirdos? Are those people deliberately trying to
destroy their careers? It appears many of them actually believe they can say
and do anything they like and that we, the public, must accept their
disrespectful rants without question. Of course they also expect us to pay
for the privilege. And that is where the rubber hits the road.

Last week singer Linda Ronstadt decided her freedom of speech included
anything she wanted to say and anyone to whom she wanted to say it. The
world doesn't operate that way. Freedom of speech is not a one way street.
Those of us who are doing the listening also have the right not to listen.
And if we are paying the bill we certainly have the right to decline.

Ronstadt had been hired by the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas to entertain their
clientele. Give the devil his due, the woman can sing . so can Hollywood
   Head Weirdo Barbra Streisand.

Well, it seems Ronstadt decided to spice up her show before about 5,000
people with running praise of America-hating Michael Moore, the ugly slob
who produces bits of lies which he strings together and calls (with tongue
in cheek) "documentaries." She praised Moore as a bastion of truth, as a
great American and as a genius of sorts. Well, about that time, as we
sometimes say in South Georgia, all hell broke loose.

It is reliably reported that about half the crowd began booing her
vigorously while the other half cheered. The first half proceeded to get
angrier and the next thing you know, cocktail glasses were flying through
the air as they began stomping out of the theatre in droves. As they roared
into the lobby they proceeded to destroy her posters and anything else they
could find relating to her and her show.

As luck would have it the president of the Aladdin Company (Bill Timmins)
had decided to attend her show and he was stunned at what he was witnessing.
He promptly had the "lady" escorted from his hotel and taken to her touring
bus outside. She was not to re-enter the hotel. He then had her things
packed and delivered to her bus. And he told her she was not welcome back to
perform in his hotel at anytime in the future.

The verbal pot had only begun to bubble and by the next day the lid was
ready to blow. The left wing supporters of Ms. Ronstadt launched a tirade of
criticism of Mr. Timmins. They claimed Ronstadt had a perfect right to
express her views any time and anywhere she liked. After all there was that
handy first amendment to which they always refer whenever they are called to
task. Timmins is reported to have replied that she certainly did have those
rights but not in his hotel and certainly not while she was on his payroll.
He further expressed his opinion that he also might have some rights, the
right to hire and fire anyone he wanted, being among them.

The Socialist/Democrats are still trying to make something out of a losing
situation. Their latest claim is that it wasn't half the audience who left
but only about a third. I suppose that makes a difference.

Ronstadt consequently made this statement to the media: "It's a real
conflict for me when I go to a concert and find out somebody in the audience
is a Republican or fundamental Christian. It can cloud my enjoyment. I'd
rather not know." Of course she gets a complete pass from the leftist
media, who never take their kind to task for Christian-bashing.

Imagine if she had said Muslim instead of Christian, or Democrat instead of
Republican. All hell would have broken loose in the leftist world.

I find it rather interesting that the far left, socialist/communist
entertainers simply can't get it through their heads that it is not
Republicans or Christians who are flying planes into tall buildings or
beheading those who disagree with their beliefs.

Is America in danger? I leave the answer to you.
