   NEW YORK -- CNN suspended commentator Robert Novak indefinitely after   
   he swore and walked off the set Thursday during a debate with   
   Democratic operative James Carville.   
      
   The live exchange during CNN's "Inside Politics" came during a   
   discussion of Florida's Senate campaign. CNN correspondent Ed Henry   
   noted when it was over that he had been about to ask Novak about his   
   role in the investigation of the leak of a CIA officer's identity.   
      
   A CNN spokeswoman, Edie Emery, called Novak's behavior "inexcusable and   
   unacceptable." Novak apologized to CNN, and CNN was apologizing to   
   viewers, she said.   
      
   "We've asked Mr. Novak to take some time off," she said.   
      
   I happened to see that and I don't blame Novak a damned bit.  Big mouth   
   Carville is noted for constantly interupting and speaking while someone else   
   has the microphone. I suppose he thinks it's a way to lessen anything the   
   other guy has to say. CNN took no initiative to let Novak answer a question   
   and never does. They couldn't be more biased in these exchanges. I never   
   heard any apology to viewers by CNN. If anything, they owe Novak an apology   
   for letting it go on as if it were normal. If I were Novak, I'd write off   
   CNN  as a serious network. I doubt he needs the money.
