You will find that Windows messenger (as opposed to the MSN messenger u want       to use) is a bitch to       get rid of... but possible. Here's how i did it. (Well i'm pretty sure its how       i did it but it was a       long time ago and i've slept since then)              start Task manager....              right click on the correct messenger "exe" thats running. msnmsgr.exe is the       one you want so dont       click that one. then select "End process tree"              Now Program Files              Go to Windows Messenger folder and delete all the files. It will pop up with a       box saying that it       cant delete a certain ".DLL" file as it is being used. de-select this file and       delete all again.       After you have done this there should be 1 file left in the folder... the one       u couldnt       delete...then re boot.              After re boot go to Prog files again and delete the folder for windows       messenger.              Job done.              If you can tell me how u got your PC running with SP2 on it without it totally       fookin it up... i       would be much obliged!                            On Mon, 04 Oct 2004 13:55:45 GMT, for reasons only known to himself, "Nick       Noggy"        |
