And yet, some of our better Presidents had no experience in public office.

Maybe in civilian life. Because given how career politicians conduct their
affairs at the expense of their citizens does not feel me with a great sense
of confidences that having such a career is somehow beneficial. Rather it
teaches them how to use their office for their own personal gain.

I mean when you consider that most of Congress is comprised of Millionaires
or that a freshman senator becomes a millionaire within 2 years of assuming
office in a job that only pays $147k... we have to wonder how much of their
efforts are for their personal gain, rather than for the benefit of the
   people.

   But here's some examples:

Chellie Pingree (D-ME) has made over $40 Million in office at an average
annual rate of over 73,000% per year
Pedro Pierlusisi (D-PR) $2.6 million at an annual rate of over 1,700% per
   year
Patrick Murphy (D-FL) $2.9 million at an annual rate of over 1,400% per year

So how does someone in a job that pays $147,000 make $1,000,000 dollars in
   less than 2 years?

Whose interests are they REALLY serving? Ours, or their own?
