   From what I have seen it seems the norm for lots of people to be highly   
   in debt to the credit cards.  They will buy as much as they can on   
   credit and make the minimum payment. I (  my family) did without a lot   
   of things because we would not put things on credit if we did not have   
   to .  Mainly just the house and cars. I just could not see paying from   
   10 to 25 % more for things when you factor in the  credit card charges.   
   I would sometimes buy things on credit when there was a 90 day or more   
   same as cash.  Last car I bought was on credit as there was 0% interest   
   even though I could have paid cash.  Just left the cash in the stock   
   market and made money off of it.
