On larger items I ask if they will reduce the       price if I pay in cash or check instead of charging. Then I calculate       in my head if I get more money by cash or by charging and paying off       the balance each month.              I only took out 2 credit cards because they offered 200 to 300 dollars       if I used them for so much in the first few months.              Now I have to use a debit card for local stores because the credit union       pays money on the checking account if I debit 10 times a month or if I       do not they charge a $ 10 fee. I could switch to a no fee account but       no interest.              The credit companies charge the merchants around 3 % but only give you       back 1 to 2 %so they still make money.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
