A tax on unrealized gains is an insane tax fantasy.

The fact that you support government screwing over Americans, so long as
you get to choose which ones get screwed, says more about your decency,
of the lack thereof, than anything else.

How can that be since it hasn't been implemented yet? Pray that it won't
be either, because it will affect you. If history is any guide, this
goofy tax proposal will ultimately bite all of us. Supoprters of these
half-cocked, hairbrained ideas start by claiming they want to target
only a small, very specific group, so that you’re convinced it won’t
affect you. But once they get the concept in place, it’s only a matter
of time before they get their hands into your pockets, too.
