In the past maybe 30 or so years many jobs have been lost overseas. Can
we get them back? Yes, but we will have to pay more for the goods.
I bought my first TV in 1966 and it was made in the US. It has been
quite a few years since that has happened though some are assembled here.

That first B&W portable was about $150 then and I can get a decent TV
for the same real dollars today.

Are we willing to pay for those jobs? Remember when Dad worked in the
factory and made enough to support a family and buy a modest house? We
can't do that and have cheap appliances.
