   Yep, because one thing most people can't seem to grasp is that government   
   spending does NOT improve the economy in the long term. Oh, it can have some   
   short term improvements, the consequences of the inflation and taxation that   
   results from such spending hurts more than it will help and those factors   
   remain a drag on the economy long after the spending is over.   
      
   If the government were to apply every cent to servicing the nation debt it   
   would take about 9 years to pay it off.   
      
   Now. Take your annual income multiply it by 9 and then consider that is a   
   loan you have to pay off.   
      
   For most people that would mean bankruptcy.
