   A Canadian appreciates your sentiments ... but the stuff about cold weather   
   is a symptom of the American media's tendency to stereotype other nations.   
      
   For example, I once had an American lawyer from Detroit suggest that it was   
   too cold to live in Toronto; I've heard a similar remark from a traveller   
   from Minneapolis.   
      
   You seem to believe we're in a perpetual state of winter.  Not true.
