|    DeLay and Keeping Americans Polarized    |
|    20 Oct 05 10:23:10    |
From: hperni@AmericanJunta.com               Tempting as it may be, liberals shouldn't be too quick to gloat       over the antics of Republican strong man Tom DeLay vs. Travis County       district attorney, Ronnie Earle, a Democrat. In the first place, DeLay is no       more or less honest than any of our other corrupt 'representatives', from       either side of the aisle. He simply got caught, and tried to play hardball       with the wrong Democrat. But the issue goes far deeper. The whole corrupt       two-party political machine has become so entrenched, and is SO totally       bought and sold by American big business and, more recently, multinationals,       that they have become emboldened to the point where they no longer feel the       slightest impetus toward even a pretext of representing the will and       wellbeing of the American people.               Jobs going overseas hurting the people? Fuck 'em. It helps the       big business concerns, so it stays. Borders too porous? Illegals taking       American jobs? Fuck 'em! Big business wants cheap labor. (These aren't jobs       Americans don't WANT; they're jobs Americans can't afford to take at       $5/hour, so that the rapacious CEO can maintain his multi-million dollar       salary, and the greedy shareholders can watch their portfolio swell.) People       in California, Montana, and several other states want legalized medical       marijuana? Fuck 'em! It'll take business away from the big pharmaceutical       companies, and besides, drug ENFORCEMENT is the government's own big, money       generating business. So, who cares of a dirtbag like DeLay goes down? Every       now and then they have to throw one of their own to the wolves. Why? To keep       the people properly polarized, so they still think they're participating in       a democracy. What makes you think so? Because you manage to vote every four       years? People in the former Soviet Union voted too, and their choices were       every bit as meaningful as ours. The only difference is that we DO have       numerous third-party choices, from the honest far-right candidates of the       Constitutionalist Party, to the honest far-left of the Communist Worker's       Party. You know what? I'd rather see candidates from EITHER of these       extremes, or any of the multitude in between, than any of these lying,       manipulative 'Republicrats'.               The secret of their success, of course, is to keep us polarized.       Who would vote for a loser like Bush, if he wasn't running against a loser       like Kerry? But those on the right are SO afraid of Kerry, that they vote       for Bush, rather than someone from a third party who might better represent       their views, and who might (heaven forbid) be saying what he/she really       believes, rather than what they think will get your vote. And who would vote       for a loser like Kerry, but for fear of four more years under a liar, war       criminal, and enemy of humanity like George W. Bush?               Of course, the media (big business) has an obvious stake in       maintaining the two-party stranglehold, so they perpetuate these polarizing       tactics. The show us morons from the right arguing for the assassination of       foreign leaders, or saying that New Orleans is the righteous wrath of God       so that those from the left are filled with revulsion, and never stop to       think that there are MANY intelligent, thoughtful conservatives who would       never even think along such imbecilic lines.               Coming at this another way, where would big business BE if they       had to bribe a dozen parties instead of only two?               Thinking this through a bit further, what about all of these       super secret agencies, that don't have names, get funded (by secret       'Republicrat' committees) from black budgets, and do whatever they please?       Who's pulling THEIR strings? Big business. Indeed, the same can be said of       every law enforcement officer in the country, who swears to uphold the will       of the government, regardless of whether it's fair or not, regardless of       whether it's legal or not, regardless of whether it's moral or not. Is THIS       what Americans WANT their country to be? Now THAT would be a truly sad       commentary.               The American people need to wake up and start expending the       effort to see through these transparently manipulative little shows staged       for their benefit, do a little leg work, and throw all these scheming       'Republicrat' bastards out of OUR government.                            Hollis,              http://www.AmericanJunta.com                                                        --       Posted via NewsDemon.com - Premium Uncensored Newsgroup Service        ------->>>>>>http://www.NewsDemon.com<<<<<<------       Unlimited Access, Anonymous Accounts, Uncensored Broadband Access              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
