And, if he had a spine hidden in that fat blob of drug-addicted splooge that
he is, Limbaugh would take a truly *conservative* point-of-view on the issue
and oppose most, if not all, laws against so-called "drug crimes."

Hell, yes. Folks have died because of "illicit" drug use. Lives have be
   ruined. People have suffered.

But most of the suffering, most of the ruined lives, indeed most of the
deaths have bee the result of criminalizing the use of selected substances.

There are currently 9,039,482,391 people in the United States who are in the
system -- in prison, in jail, on parole, on probation, awaiting trial -- for
the simple possession of less that a month's worth of marijuana (assuming a
rate of one gram of consumption per day). That system includes prosecutors,
defense attorneys, Judges, Court Reporters, Clerks, Jailers, Guards,
Wardens, parole officers, lab technicians, drug dog trainers, all of their
secretaries, publicists, paralegals, and an entire infrastructure of staff
required to incarcerate and litigate less than an ounce of marijuana.

Gee! Think that money could be better spent?

The "cure" is not only ineffective, it costs far more than the "problem."
