   People in Vernonia are in a heated debate over a school principal   
   accused of smoking marijuana.   
      
   A Clatsop County deputy said he ticketed Aaron Miller earlier this month   
   after he caught Miller smoking marijuana at a state park.   
      
   The school superintendent has decided to allow Miller, the principal at   
   Washington Grade School and Mist Elementary School, to remain on the   
   job.   
      
   Some angry parents held a protest Thursday afternoon, requesting   
   Miller's resignation.   
      
   "It's a zero-tolerance atmosphere. There's supposed to be no drugs and   
   no weapons," said protester Lara Dean. "If he's the principal, he's   
   supposed to be setting an example for our children."   
      
   "Nobody knew that he was smoking reefer until he got caught and then   
   everybody started making a big deal about it," said Kodiack Stone.
