   Sometimes because it allows them to double-dip, collecting retirement   
   from the public schools while earning a salary.   
      
   Sometimes because it means that they no longer have to teach THEM (for   
   assorted group of kids that attend private schools less frequently   
   than public schools).   
      
   In any event, turnover in private schools is significantly higher than   
   in public schools, where it is already high to start with.

   Seeing the way some people attack the product of "schools of   
   education", such people may not value "credentials". Of course this   
   may be one reason why they have high turnover.
