The claim that marijuana can be used to kill pain is fallacious. I   
   have smoked pot for over forty years and never once did I, nor anyone   
   else, use it to reduce pain. The only pain it reduced was the pain of   
   boredom. Alcohol is by far a much better pain killer so I could make   
   the point that that's why it is legal. People smoke marijuana to get   
   high period. It will cure upset stomachs, I will agree but hardly puts   
   the chill on pain. As a matter of fact, it can enhance pain to some   
   degree, depending on your head trip at the time.   
   Pot should be legal for the simple fact that it IS simple.   
   Its as natural as tea and needs no refinement.   
   Don't make the stand for legalization of pot on the grounds of it   
   being a limiter of pain or I will tell you that you are only trying to   
   justify getting high legally.
