   Wow.. i didn't know that.  Up here, you can either apply for your kids, or   
   wait til they're old enough to apply for themselves (if they don't want to   
   work) for our Social Insurance Numbers.  I got mine when i was 15 ( i think   
   my mom had to sign something)
