   Originally, even nativeamericans were immigrants.   
      
   Interestingly, within about 2000 years of their arrival, almost all   
   large mammals -- including the giant ground sloth, native camels, the   
   woolly rhinoceros and woolly mammoth etc -- had been hunted to extinction.   
      
   This is generally attributed to the arrival of large numbers of human   
   beings with fully evolved hunting skills, who encountered large animals   
   which had never learned to fear humans and which had little fear of   
   anything else due to their own great size. They were easy prey, they   
   just stood there and paid no attention as they were surrounded and then   
   killed.   
      
   It's funny, we in the US are secure in our own great size and have never   
   learned to fear illegal aliens. And right now we're being surrounded.
