   Actually moral is simply a construct which demands that the distilled   
   personal prejudices and preferences of social bullies are exerted over   
   the rest of society. There is no such thing as objective morality.   
      
   And that is why, as we all know, taboos do work and hardly by magic.   
      
   The biggest problem I see is confusing morality with ethics.   
   There is no reason for manufacturing moral codes but there are plenty of   
   reasons for requiring ethical conduct in the public sphere.   
   Without functioning ethical behaviour amongst humans society would   
   inevitably descend into a a horrible ruthless bloody chaos.   
      
   Once upon the time ....
