From: wernerhetzner@gmail.com               “Government that governs least governs best”. Libertarian communities       are cooperative not exploitative. Libertarians believe society is composed of       individuals who interact with others voluntarily not coercively. The ‘social       contract’ is        threatened by authoritarian governments. Government has expanded to regulate       most aspects of our lives.              There is an essential difference between force and power. Laws steal choices .       They prohibit and limit choices for some people and make you obey someone       else’s choices. It’s like being told where to sit on the bus. Laws make       you do things you would        not want to do if you were free. Was it meant to be this way? What can be more       valuable than choice? What do you have when you have no choice?              Libertarians recognize the original insight of the Constituion has been       steadily eroded to subordinate the individual to serve other individuals via       government police powers. Libertarians seek to reduce the coersive nature of       government and peacefully        resist forced obedience.       https://cd-lp.org              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
