The argument point is more       > than interesting.              I doubt the US anticipated the success of the NSDAP but support of the       right wing movements over the KPD and other left wing organizations was       a natural for the US capitalists. It was even better when the party       purged those who took the socialism part too seriously like the Strassers.              It's hard to pin down the turning point but the NSDAP was admired for       pulling Germany out of the post-Revolution chaos. Arguably they were       more successful in countering the Depression than Roosevelt.              Jones is just the latest incarnation of conspiracy theorists. There has       always been a narrative about the Rockefellers, Bushs, and other US       millionaires have close ties to IG Farben which was a heavy contributor       to the fledgling Partei. Aryanization of the company would not have       bothered US industrialists.              You are right, it's always for the kids. It would be a different world       if the people in power actually gave a damn about the future of the       world rather than lining their pockets and enjoying the privileges of power.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
