   The problem with that is example is the local enforcement, specifically   
   the city of Portland OR, was unwilling to suppress the mob. It was not a   
   sporadic event but an ongoing phenomenon. Federal property was being   
   defaced and destroyed and the mayor / police commissioner chose to do   
   little or nothing. When he tried to meet with the rioters to kiss their   
   asses he was booed as being not sufficiently 'woke'.   
      
   Personally, I would not have sent in Federal officers but pulled all   
   Federal services out of the city. If western Oregon wants to self   
   destruct, eastern Oregon can slit off and join Idaho.
