   :-))  My husband used to have to travel a lot internationally when he   
   worked and wasn't fond of the US but always ran to pack his bags if   
   going to Europe.  He always used to come back with tales that reflected   
   exactly your comment.  My favourite was his relayign the incident with   
   the Hotel receptionist (4 star hotel so not some fleabag place) who   
   commented on his accent.  When my husband responded that it was because   
   he was Australian, the receptionist asked which State that was in.   
   After an explanation got nowhere, he gave up.
