   Resigned Jan. 12, 2019, amid an investigation into allegations of   
   sexual harassment and hostile workplace issues raised by a woman who   
   worked as a legislative assistant for him during the 2010 session.   
   Released weeks after he left office, the investigation by an outside   
   law firm found that Ranker sexually harassed the woman and created a   
   hostile work environment for her once she left to work for a state   
   agency.
