   The way a corporation works is that  twelve or fewer major   
   shareholders form the board and represent all shareholders.  The board   
   makes one, and only one decision: Shall they fire the existing Chief   
   Executive Officer, and if so, who will replace him?  The Chief   
   Executive Officer makes all other decisions.   
      
   If you propose that "the workers" shall make collective decisions in   
   the way that the shareholders of Microsoft make decisions, you propose   
   that total power over everyone and everything will be exercised by the   
   General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Central Committee.   
   This is a considerably more serious threat to liberty than Bill Gates   
   exercising total control over Microsoft software, for anyone can, and   
   lots of people do, make non Microsoft software.
