Actually the political spectrum is a circle, so if you swing too far to
either left or right you come back to where you started. In any case too far
right is every bit as evil as too far left. It does not require an Einstein
to realise that the right discriminates against the poorest and weakest in
the society where it operates and the extreme right carries this to the
extent that is starves people to death or leaves them to die for want life's
basics. The left discriminates against the very rich and, if taken to
extremes, it drives them away and they may well be the people who drive the
economy. Thus both extremes are evil in the extreme. The trouble is that the
exact centre falls between both fires and nothing ever gets done. Thus the
best is slightly left of centre with enough socialism to care for the poor,
sick and disabled without penalising the rich to the extent that they can
find pastures new that are better for them.
