The country's       > wealth goes down, shortages occur, no inventions are produced and the       > economy eventually collapses.       >              I think it depends very much how you define property.       The states school system belong to all of us.       Land has been in many communities farmed on a communal way.       Everybody who can gives a helping hand and gets his share according to       the size of his family.       The house he lives in he can own.       What you have in the US is not clear capitalism either.       It's a mixture of private, state, church and corporate ownership.       The problems we have today are not always because of ownership but more       often control of ownership.       The shareholders often don't know what decisions the management is doing       on their behalf.       If in order to win as a capitalist you would need to exploit people and       nature in a way that neither can regenerate just because it is easy to       brake the rules and you would loose if you wouldn't brake the rules the       problem lies with who is observing if capitalism according to       international accepted rules.       You could say why do wee need rules.       My answer is: Because otherwise we would have war.       Otherwise the worlds fish stock would deplete and never recover again.       We do only have one planet.       So do we want this planet only for the next 50 years or the next 5000 years?              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
