   Different gene pools react differently. The Neanderthals   
   lived on the edge of the ice and didnt need warriors; their   
   real enemy was Old Man Winter. They needed cooperation to   
   survive.   
      
   Whole different trip in the tropics, where the average tribe   
   had 100 square miles of hunting grounds, whereas in Ice Age   
   Europe the average group had 100 times that much. The mammoth   
   bone long houses on the Don were 100 miles apart. Raids for   
   women or wealth were not convenient, and Old Man Winter set   
   a 5 month truce every year.   
      
   Tropical hunter villages were only a day's hike away, and   
   hominid prey was always there if other prey was not. Jared   
   Diamond, "Collapse" reports that when the white man showed   
   up, 25% of the New Guinea Highland men died in battle. But   
   Yeoman farmer graveyards show only 2-3% violent trauma.   
      
   Even in WWII, the death rate in Europe, on both sides, was   
   only7 2-3#. War on that massive a scale demands communist   
   levels of cooperation. African wars since have been chaotic   
   and unorganized or they'd be lots deadlier. Famine does the   
   lion's share of killing.   
      
   The Scandinavian cultures have always been socialist, and   
   nonetheless successful in the global economy. They are also   
   the most uniformly Aryan descendants of Neanderthals.
