   # The Korean war ended with an armistice, like the First World War. That
is, both sides fought each other to a standstill.
Whereas Europe is now virtually united, even if under the amorphous EU,
Korea is still divided, and this unstable state is unlikely to continue
indefinitely - though it has lasted since the 1950s.
North Korea has as much right to nuclear power and weapons as any other
nation (same with Iran), and although branded part of an Axis of Evil, such
title is bestowed by those whose hands are not clean of nuclear
misdemeanours - the USA atom-bombed civilians; twice. ("In God We Trust" -
   but also in Nuclear).
So, will we soon see Korean War II, and where will this lead? - to a
plutonium cloud drifting around the Northern Hemisphere?
The posturing of NK is somewhat ludicrous, but what do you expect from
   increased sanctions?
(Oh, yes, anything less is Appeasement.)
