From: jaspar2002us@yahoo.com              $LAVERY IS FAILING                      ANALYSIS: US RELIABILITY QUESTIONED OVERSEAS               Steven R. Hurst, The Associated Press' international political writer in       Washington               October 5, 2013 10:45 AM                      [Excerpts]                      An unmistakable sense of unease is growing in global capitals as the U.S.       government from afar [The World Tyrant is always close at hand] looks       increasingly befuddled. America [The World Tyrant] is shirking from a       military confrontation in Syria [with        the Syrian Arab Republic], stymied at home by a gridlocked Congress [a coward       Congress] and in danger of defaulting on sovereign debt, which could plunge       the world's financial system into chaos.               But faith that the U.S. [The World Tyrant] will always be there is fraying       more than a little, according to interviews with academics, government leaders       and diplomats.                      Germany's influential newspaper Sueddeutsche Zeitung bemoaned the U.S.       political chaos.        "At the moment, Washington [The World Tyrant] is fighting over the budget and       nobody knows if the country will still be solvent in three weeks. What is       clear, though, is that America [The World Tyrant] is already politically       bankrupt," it said.               [In a nutshell:]               "The rhetoric of diplomacy is just wonderful but it almost never describes the       reality."               That reality worldwide, he [Anthony Cordesman, a military affairs specialist       at the Center for International Studies] said, "is a real concern about where       is the U.S. [The World Tyrant] going.               "There is a question of trust. And I think there is an increasing feeling       that the United States [The World Tyrant] is pulling back, and its internal       politics are more isolationist so that they [The World Tyrant's puppets] can't       necessarily trust what U.       S. [World Tyrant] officials say, even if the officials mean it."               --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
