   If you use Mozilla Thunderbird you can use filters and just go to   
   [Tools] and [Filters] then [add] a filter that uses [NewsGroups] and   
   [Contains] [insert_name_here] then have it [Tag] the messages and pick a   
   tag or you make one and color or create the new tag [BAD NEWSGROUP] with   
   a new color for it.   
      
      
   You can see all the messages after you restart the mail program are   
   highlighted that have a newsgroup you wanted highlighted....  for   
   instance you set it to highlight [color GREEN] the   
   messages with [can.politics] in the NewsGroups and it does it as they   
   download and you can insert multiple filters for multiple NewsGroups and   
   it will make them all green . Then you just know that all green messages   
   need to have their NewsGroups modified to delete spam to those groups.
