   am i being angry?? that's weird, i usually am not angry about   
   anything these days. definitely not angry at you and i dont   
   expect a self sustaining martian city in my lifetime. but at   
   least a permanent human presence on moon and mars, like we have   
   in low earth orbit these days.   
      
   the point is, the idea that we can or will fix societal issues   
   here on earth does not require we exclude space exploration. we   
   can try to do both.   
      
   i personally do not think there is any possibility of global   
   utopia, there is no final template that we can prepare here to   
   export to outer space, at least not with current ape brains.
