|    OpenVPN: problem with RemoteDesktop(XP)    |
|    01 Jun 04 12:46:54    |
From: maui@areacube.de              Hello there,       I have a little problem with OpenVPN to solve. I have to PCs, each       behind a Router. One in a company network and one in a home network. The       Routers are configured properly each to forward port 5001 to the target       PC. The PC in the corporate network is running OpenVPN in Server Mode       and is reachable via a dynDNS address. The Connection is working and i       can ping each others end of the tunnel, but a Connection with the       Microsoft Windows RemoteDesktop fails. Remotedesktop Connections are       enabled on both PCs and the connection seems to establish, because a       blue Screen (not an error) appears but the login doesn't show up. In the       Log of OpenVPN I can see the strange log entry "compression off". After       some Time the PCs states that the connection to the RemoteDesktop was       shutdown due to a network problem. The OpenVPN Log windows states that       compression is enabled again and continues to work.              But why can't I connect to the RemoteDesktop.       This really drives me crazy. Please help me before I'm becoming insane.              Thanks in Advance,       Sebastian Mauer              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
