   No problem at all. As a matter of fact as I type from work, my Powerbook   
   is being backed up to my Retrospect Workgroup server at home via VPN.   
   I'm at virtual private address 192.168.2.128. The Retrospect server is   
   behind my router/VPN endpoint at real private address 192.168.1.128. It   
   found me via subnet broadcast.   
      
   When I'm at home, with my PB behind the router at 192.168.1.124, it also   
   backs up fine.   
      
   You will need at least Workgroup to do this.
