|    Newbie: using VPn/PPTP for multiple Acti    |

From: mhoutzREMOVE@hotmail.com              Hello,              Please pardon my ignorance, as this is a new field for me. One of my clients       would like to be able to remotely ActiveSync their Pocket PCs (over WiFi or       cellular network) to their respective XP Pro/Outlook workstations which are       currently behind a Linksys router w/NAT (BEFSR81). They do not have a server       capable of running Exchange and so I believe ActiveSync server is out of the       question. I've posted a message in the MS ActiveSync newsgroup and the       replies I got suggest that using VPN/PPTP might be a way to go.              To implement this, I understand that we would be replacing the current       router with one which supports VPN - and it sounds like we'd need one which       can support multiple sessions, right? If so, would this be a complex type of       configuration? Are there resources on the Web for setting this up?              Also, if anyone has some real-world experience with this kind of setup, I       would so appreciate your feedback.              Maggie              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
