From: kneed_spaaam_plz@hotmail.com              Hello,               I am writing today as I am looking for opinions on VPN appliances out       on the market right now. I purchased the Sonicwall Pro 2040 (EnhancedOS)       and after some testing and four months later I ran into a bug. A bug       that is on Sonicwall's "to do list", according to high level support.       Basically, the bug does not allow for third party VPN client software       that is behind a NAT'd device(router) to work correctly. Seems to be a       problem with the way it handles communications over Port 4500.               Unfortunetly I do not have the time to wait for Sonicwall to come up       with a remedy for this, and I am looking for some opinions on any VPN       appliances that fall within the same price range as the Sonicwall. Now I       am not limiting myself to "new, out of the box" hardware either. As you       may already know the Sonicwall's price range is $4000.00 CDN. I would       like to be somewhere around there, give or take $2000.00.               I am a small business so I do not need anything to extravagant but I do       need something to replace what I currently have. Any suggestions?                     Thanks in advance              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
