   Many of these types of problems are caused by the lan on the client having   
   the same subnet address range as the server. When the client tries to   
   connect the server sends it its new IP address, which is on the lan's   
   subnet. When the client sends data to the server the routing table cannot   
   determine which network adapter to send it out on.
