|    VPN over Linksys router    |

From: sculver@mail.com              Having trouble with a VPN using Comcast cable over a Linksys using       Windows XP Pro              After reading of ports 1723 and 47 being required, made those changes       (hopefully correctly to the intenal IP address of the laptop       192.168.1.4) for both TCP and UCP, but the connection (work uses very       standard Microsoft VPN server software) fails at the password (RAS in       log) area.              The Linksys is the 4 port cable router BEFSR41 and the firmware is       12/02 updated.              To test my lack of VPN connection over cable, I went back to my dial       up service to another IPS and then the VPN connects right away.              Any users have ideas or suggestions?              Thanks,              Sandy              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
