   Hi Phil,   
      
   We use this config all the time so I can confirm it will work. I believe   
   PPPoA is because our ADSL in the UK uses ATM (as opposed to PPPoE over   
   Ethernet)  but it shouldn't affect your VPN connection. Your problem may be   
   if your Netcomm NB1300 has any kind of firewall in it then the ports you   
   need may be being blocked. If you choose to log session to file in the   
   option tab, how far does the connection get? Also at a more basic level can   
   you ping the VPN host from your ADSL line just to prove connectivity/routing   
   is OK.
