   I am not sure about the cisco vpn client but others have a setting either in   
   the client or   
   the virtual adapter where you can select to use that adapter/connection as   
   the default   
   gateway. The default setting is enabled, uncheck that option and you should   
   be able   
   to access the internet/email and the vpn network.
