|    VPN-Problems using ftp    |

From: mb@worxbox.com              Hi all,              I'm yery new to VPN, so maybe this is a really stupid question:              I'm using a NetScreen-VPN-Client to connect to a NetScreen-VPN-Server in       order to work from my home-Office over the internet.              First, VPN didn't work, although I opened all ports of my D-Link       804-Firewall (ADSL),              After adding a Port-Redirection to my PC of Port 500/UDP in the       DLink-Firewall, VPN seemed to work . I could log in on a Remote-Linux-Server       using SSH. But sometines, the connection seemed to hang. For example, after       long ls -l -Outputs, the connection stopped and I had to close my       putty-Window and had to connect again.              This is the first mystery.              After successfully putting some small files (abaout 20KB) to the       Linux-Server using ftp, I couldn't put a larger file(2 MB) to the       Linux-Server via ftp. The System-Administrator of the Linux-Server told me,       that this is definitely not any misconfiguration of the FTP-Server.              This is the second Mystery.              Does anybody know, how I can solve these problems.              Thanks in advance              Bye       Markus              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
