|    vpn on Windows 2000 -> ping fails (127.0    |

      From: henkweltje@wanadoo.nl              Hi,              I am using my laptop (Windows 2000 with Cisco VPN 4.0.2b) on more then one       network (DHCP switched off).              Consequently I selected on the Advanced TCP/IP settings two fixed IP       addresses (192.168.1.12 and 10.0.0.12)       The related gateway- and DNS server-IP addresses also were properly       installed.              When I ping a remote machine always 127.0.0.1 is returned and I fail to       obtain a connection.              I tried using the metric value "1" for the default gateway address and "2"       for the other in order to switch but that also fails, although not always       ...Pffff.              Only when I use one single IP address in the TCP/IP settings it works fine..              A colleague who uses XP doesn't suffer from this and he's able to connect 1       minute faster, not having to modify the settings all the time ;-)              Before this I tried also other vpn versions.       SSH never gave me problems, but it's slower.              Any suggestions what might be causing this?              Henk              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
