From: dave-thorn@nodash.verizon.net.invalid              Specifically, are you able to run Terminal Services or Citrix?              I'm running (at home) a Win2K laptop, CheckPoint SecuRemote NG, connecting       to a Nokia IP350 running VPN-1/Firewall-1 NG.              Via modem connection, or directly connected to DSL modem, VPN performs       flawlessly.              Once I put the router between PC and DSL, thinks start breaking down. The       SecurRemote client acknowledges an authenticated connection. I can ping       machines on the office LAN, can run some programs talking to some Unix       boxen, etc. I cannot run the Terminal Services client, or DameWare. MSTSC       simply times out, and DameWare holds forever in the process of opening a       session.              If you're using this router, what settings are you using? What firmware?       (mine is 1.45.6)              I've got:       -Router uses DHCP to get an address from Verizon, and serves DHCP to the LAN       with 192.168.2/24.       -No filters       -Block Wan: disabled       -IPSEC passthru: enabled       -PPTP passthru: enabled       -No forwarding, no filtering       -No DMZ host              According to the BOFHen, all the required setting up has been done on the       firewall side. My biggest problem is, I haven't the foggiest idea where to       start troubleshooting! And, since the home router is not supported by the       NetAdmins, they don't have a whole lot of free time to help.              Any ideas?              Thanks,       Dave              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
