|    VPN and IP Phone ...connection question    |
|    11 Dec 03 21:55:39    |
From: stacy@nospam.com              We just set up a VPN between two locations, both using Netgear's FVS318       routers. Everything went incredibly smoothly. I just have one question       concerning an IP phone at our remote office. According to Netgear's setup       information, when the IKE key time expires/ renews (after 8 hours), the       connection will be dropped temporarily and then renewed. I am assuming this       will disconnect the phone (quite possibly during a call) temporarily. Is       this true? (I guess I'll find out soon enough, as that phone will be       reinstalled tommorrow after they finish rearranging the office). Is there a       way around this? Any suggestions are appreciated.              Thanks.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
