   Sorry that I am out of additional ideas.  If you can swap back in the   
   netgear router just to make sure everything else is still setup   
   correctly, that is what I would try next.  Just FYI, my PPTP setup only   
   works via the WAN, never via the LAN.  And you should not need port 47   
   opened.
